On the Trail of Ghengis Khan
In June 2004 Tim set off on an epic journey, 10,000km from Mongolia to Hungary by Horse. Six years and 137 hours of film later his experience can now be seen in a documentary series titled 'The Trail of Genghis Khan. He is currently writing a book about his experiences to be published by Allen & Unwin Australia (Bloomsbury Uk/USA) some time in 2012.
The six part documentary series aired on ABC2 in Australia in July/August 2010. It has also had successful releases in Europe in 2010/2011 on ARTE. Phoenix and Spanish TV. It has also been broadcast across Asia including India (Foxtel), Singapore among others. It was awarded 'Prize of the Jury' at the Graz Film Festival in Austria 2010, and 'Best Adventure Film' at the Czech Mountain Film Festival in Prague 2010.
The ABC DVD was the ABC's best selling product in Sept/Oct 2010.
