While sitting in Wellington airport en route to Christchurch I received exciting news from Canada. Not only had my book, On The Trail Of Genghis Khan been long listed for the Banff International Book and Film Festival, but it had won its category, Adventure Travel, and is now short listed for the grand prize!
I would like to thank all of you who have supported me over many years, and of course all those people on the steppe who enriched my life with their not only their help, and hospitality, but their very personal stories.
APPEARANCEES AT BANFF INTERNATIONAL FILM AND BOOK FESTIVAL 2013
This Sunday, the 27th of October, I will be speaking at the Banff festival at 7.30pm. This is part of multiple events that I am part of at this year’s Banff Mountain Film and Book Festival.
A photo exhibition of the steppe peoples and my journey will be up for the duration of the festival (October 26 – November 3), there will be a special film screening, and I am part of one of the panel discussions titled ‘should we stay at home.’
